Happy Memorial Day 2026

Every Memorial Day, we pause as a nation to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting our freedoms deserve more than a single day of remembrance. They deserve our lasting gratitude.

Please also remember that behind every soldier, sailor, airman, Marine, and Coast Guardsman stands a family whose sacrifice is often quieter, but no less profound.

Memorial Day is also for the spouses who became both parents overnight. For the children who grew up holding folded flags instead of hands. For the mothers and fathers who answered the hardest knock at the door imaginable. For the siblings, grandparents, friends, and loved ones who continue living with an empty seat at the table and memories that never fade.

While many gather this weekend with cookouts, parades, and celebrations of freedom, it is important to remember the true cost behind those freedoms. It is our soldiers and Military families that serve through long deployments, missed holidays, constant uncertainty, and, for some, unimaginable loss. The strength of these families reflects a different kind of bravery. They carry on traditions, preserve legacies, and keep alive the stories of those who gave everything. They remind us that sacrifice does not end on the battlefield and that it continues in the hearts and homes left behind.

This Memorial Day, may we do more than simply remember names. May we honor lives. May we speak their stories. May we support the families who continue to bear the weight of service and sacrifice every single day.

To the fallen heroes: we remember you.

To the families: we honor you, we thank you, and we stand with you.

Trash update for the Villa residents. We sure wish we had more to tell you, but after hours on the phones and emails that got hardly anywhere, this is all we can tell you.

Due to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day falling on our regularly, scheduled pick up day, the Villas curbside trash will be delayed by one day. Your trash will be picked up on Tuesday the 20th then again on Thursday. Please do not bring your trash to curb too early. It should be brought out by 8:00am on the morning of pick up, not the evening before. Your normal schedule is Monday and Thursday, unless there is a holiday. We have been fining residents for bringing their garbage to the curb any other times than Monday or Thursday mornings due to the animals ripping into the bags and scattering the garbage all over. To avoid fines, simply bring the trash out the morning of. We are asking that everyone abide by these simple procedures to avoid any issues. If you do need to dispose of something outside of the Villa pick up times, please feel free to use the compactor or the stationary dumpster for larger items. If using the stationary dumpster, be sure to walk the items all the way to the back of the container so that others may dispose of large items too. Thank you.

Halloween will be celebrated in Nashua on Friday, October 31st from 6pm to 8pm. If you live in one of the multi-family buildings, you cannot leave your porch light on for our little trick-or-treaters. Just print the photo below and put it on your door to let the little ghouls and goblins know you have goodies. If your kids are a little older and they are going out on their own, please show them this post so they are not knocking on doors without this sign on it. The Courtyards and the Villas have porch lights so this only applies for the three-story, multi-family buildings. Be sure to drive a little slower on Halloween and have a safe and fun Halloween.
